Chapter 1 *No Knitting experience necessary.

The Beginning-Petite
A 3 hour workshop

One 3 hour class

In only one afternoon learn the basics of Knitting.

The Beginning
A six week course
March 26, April 2, 9,16, 23, 30
Six 2 hours sessions

In this six week course, you will learn the basics of knitting, basic pattern reading, and common increases and decreases. You will then begin working on the project of your choice. Projects include a Chunky Button up Neck Warmer, Darling Alpaca Silk Baby Hat, and more.



Chapter 2 *Knowledge of basic knitting techniques required such as casting on - Knit-purl-basic pattern reading - Binding off

The Beginning Petite- Part II
A 3 hour workshop
Sunday April 6, April 27, and May 18
One 3 hour class
12-3

This is Part II to The Beginning Petite course. In one afternoon learn basic pattern reading, as well as many common increases and decreases.

A three week course
Three 2 hour sessions
Tuesdays April 1, 8,15 and Wednesdays May 7, 14, 21

Design for Yourself. Hats can be one of the most satisfying projects; without a lot of knitting expertise you can create an accessory that is flattering, inexpensive, and, time efficient. In this three week class you will be applying some simple math to your measurements, which will allow you to customize your most practical accessory.



Formal Boot Bag
A five week course
Five 2 hour sessions

From The Cover of Bag Style by Interweave Press- learn to make Laura Irwin's original design. In this five week class each special embellishment and application involved in this lovely and durable Bag: such as felting, hand sewing appliqué, and hardware manipulation: will be covered.

Payment and Cancellations:
Until further notice Payment is due the first day of Class in the form of check or cash-Not yet taking Credit Cards. Cancellations are requested at least 7 days before first day of class.

Materials for Classes:
A Materials list will be email or mailed to you when you have signed up for a class. I will recommed yarn stores if you are not familiar with one in your neighborhood! Portland is full of choices!
